Fred Middleton April 21, 2009 662-449-0000 Paschall’s Weston Arnall Elected NCBI President Weston Arnall of Norman W. Paschall Company in Peachtree City, GA, an 18-year veteran with the company that provides raw materials for the manufacture of cotton felt and batting, is the new president of the National Cotton Batting Institute. Arnall, who served the NCBI as vice president the past two years, succeeds Richard Ayers, managing director and chief financial officer for batting manufacturer Jones Fiber Products, Inc., of Memphis. Ayers continues on the NCBI board as an ex-officio member for the 2009-10 year. Greg Windsperger of Airtex Industries, Inc., in Cokato, MN, was elected vice president and Fred Middleton of Southaven, MS, was re-elected executive secretary and treasurer. New board members are Alan Posner, Jones Fiber Products, Inc., Memphis; and Robert Naboicheck, Gold Bond Mattress Co., Hartford, CT., representing the manufacturer segment; and Nick Terlaak Poot, Fiber Conversion, Inc., Broadalbin, NY, and Ronnie Smith, T.J. Beall Co., West Point, GA, of the dealer segment. Re-elected board members are dealers Bruce Smith, McKay & Co., Roswell, GA, and Tony Tamburro, Leigh Fibers, Inc., Wellford, SC. Arnall joined Norman W. Paschall Company after his graduation from the University of Georgia. He has served as a board member of the Textile Fibers and By-Products Assn. A resident of Newnan, GA, Arnall served on the City Council there from 1998 to 2003. The NCBI represents U.S. companies that manufacture and provide batting for use in mattresses, futons and upholstered furniture. Membership includes manufacturers of cotton batting, suppliers of cotton linters and textile by-products and businesses allied with the batting industry. |
